Helium accumulation is becoming a more and more acceptable helium leak test technology that allows for quantitative measurements at a lower cost than a “hard” vacuum method. There is no need for a vacuum pump(s) or a costly vacuum chamber.
• In this technology helium gas or a gas mixture is applied to one side of a containing wall.
• The increase of helium concentration (partial pressure) on the opposite wall in an enclosure is observed over time.
