Integrated systems

This focus area contains all our customized machines built for leak testing, leak detection and proof testing. We offer our help already in the prototype stages throughout the product development and offer production test equipment from smaller simple fixtures together with a standard Nolek instrument to advanced inline testing system testing millions of parts every year.

Since 1973 Nolek has specialized in custom built leak testing systems for various industries. Using the latest 3D CAD software, our designers design customized fixtures and machines for manual or automatic sealing of test pieces. We also supply leak testing systems with integrated function control. Nolek has developed system control software, available in standard or customized PC design, which includes capacity for storage of results and analysis of statistical data. Depending on the application, equipment is controlled entirely via PC or PLC.

Nolek utilizes all the available technologies within leak detection and testing, as well as proof testing. We have excellent know-how of all measurement methods (i.e. pressure measurement, flow measurement and gas/helium measurement). Conventional pressure and flow measurement methods are offered for most applications. However if technical conditions or stringent requirements need to be met the helium method is used. Nolek’s experience and knowledge of helium leak testing is unique. Ultimately together with our customers, we decide which method is best suited for their specific needs.

Nolek is a total solution provider in the areas of sales, design, assembly, installation, service, calibration, training and development. By taking on the responsibility for all the project stages, Nolek provides the customer with a guarantee of impeccable performance and thus security.

Our technical excellence and wealth of experience allow us to provide our customers with effective and efficient solutions for their leak testing requirements. Nolek leak testing equipment increases product quality and profitability through effective production, objective test results and documented values.

Nolek has divided its main know-how into ten focused application areas. These areas can be viewed in the menu to the left.

Quality

Quality is at the core of our existence. We help our customers test and verify that their products have a satisfactory quality of their products. We are off course certified for both our Quality system (ISO9001) and our Environmental work (ISO14001). Furthermore, we work closely with regulatory bodies to always be updated on the latest standards and interpretations of these.

We have taken our quality system the next level by creating a powerful online directory we call; CALIBER. It controls our daily work and enables both customers and auditors to access our system to verify our work processes. This tool also enables all our coworkers across the globe to work in the same way using the same steering documents and templates.

Calibration

Calibration is a key concept for any type of measurement, answering the vital question: what are we actually measuring? Together with fully traceable calibration protocols we get a verification of the calibration.

All our instruments, systems, sensors and gauges that have any type of measuring impact will be calibrated and documented with fully traceable calibration certificates (NIST) and protocols.

Calibration that not is documented by an Accredited Calibration Certificate will be documented by certificate requirements from respective customer requirement specification that we refer to in our process description.

We have our own range of standard calibration instruments called CalibrateIT C9. Find more information about the calibration unit under products.

Validation

Validation is defined as the documented act of demonstrating that a procedure, process, and activity will consistently lead to the expected results. It often includes the qualification of systems and equipment. It is a requirement for Good Manufacturing Practices and other regulatory requirements.

Since a wide variety of procedures, processes, and activities need to be validated, the activity of qualifying systems and equipment is divided into a number of subsections including the following:

  • Design qualification (DQ)
  • Component qualification (CQ)
  • Installation qualification (IQ)
  • Operational qualification (OQ)
  • Process qualification (PQ)

We offer different levels of validation packages depending on the requirement of the customer. We however always work according to the V-model, building all our systems based on the customer requirement specification (URS) from which we compose a Project and resource plan. This plan will refer to the URS and in detail explain the exact scope of delivery.

Hence, whatever the validation need we meet the requirement of the customer.
